Antje is an oncological surgeon. She works amongst the poorest of the poor in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries of the world. Half of the people living in this country live below the poverty line. The country is regularly hit by natural disasters such as floods and cyclones. In this country a lot of people do not have access to health care. Antje volunteers her medical service free of charge. In that way she hopes to demonstrate something of God’s love for all people.
Antje works in LAMB Hospital, a Christian hospital in northwestern Bangladesh. The hospital has 150 beds. LAMB Hospital aims to provide quality health care to the community. The hospital charges only cost prize but people who cannot afford those fees are being seen and treated also.
